We, Group B of the UPOU-MAN N207 Class (1st Semester 2015-2016) are of high-spirit while working with each other, not only we gained more knowledge about different theories, but camaraderie as well. :)
We are thanking Dr. Sheila Bonito, our professor, for coming up with a group activity that is mind-boggling but worth the brainstorming.
The end result would have not been possible without the support and cooperation of each member.
We have decided to blog about our fellow ISKA and the current Chairman of the Professional Regulatory Board of Nursing, Dr. Carmencita M. Abaquin. Her works are inspiring and made us more focused on what we’ve started as aspiring master's degree holders.
Although we hesitated at first on how to come up with a blog that is not similar to previous batch, we tried to conceptualize with a fresh start as it is a challenge that most of us are not working or specializing in Oncology Nursing.
For us, open distance education learners (especially the offshore students), it is quite challenging to gather data about the theory as the information are limited, and their book is not readily available.
Furthermore, our goal is not just to get to know about "PREPARE ME,” a Filipino-made theory, hoping more information will be circulated in the web, but also to raise awareness to other nurses that we Filipinos can contribute a handful of ideas and expertise in the field of Nursing around the world.
Just like what a leading TV network Station ID says,
“IPAGPATULOY ANG GALING NG FILIPINO!”
